Cerium chloride
LaCeCl3
Rare earth chloride solution is a versatile coagulant and sequestrant containing cerium and lanthanum, designed to curb phosphate and fluoride content in municipal and industrial wastewater streams. Its chemistry enables efficient contaminant removal across diverse applications - from food processing and agricultural runoff management to landfill leachate treatment.
Chemical composition
Formula: CeCl3 + LaCl3, in aqueous solution.
Composition ratio: rare earth chlorides dissolved in water; CeCl3 is a white, hygroscopic, highly water-soluble salt, also known as the heptahydrate CeCl3·7H2O. The Ce:La ratio is product-specific and quoted per lot.
